Dosha effect: Decreases vatta, kapha. Increases pitta.
Action (karma): Appetizer, destroys toxins, cardiotonic, calmative, aromatic, digestive, expectorant, increases sperm, diaphortic, antispasmodic.
Dose: Up to 9 grams a day.
Contraindications: Caution during pregnancy and high pitta.
